Once a traditional woodwork shop, the Artisan factory was built out of 50 years of love and experience in wood processing and production. With a base in the heart of Bosnia, Artisan has grown steadily to create stylish home furniture products for customers and clients around the world.
At Artisan, the team prides itself on delivering high quality wood products to their customers, controlling the entire production process from start to finish. From naturally drying their woods in specifically designed factories to designing and constructing the final piece, they oversee the whole journey of their furniture.
Artisan give their wood into the hands of trusted and dedicated designers who share their love of wood and sustainability. The factory, the plant and the in-house artisans are equipped and trained to offer designers as much freedom and options as possible in order for them to realize their vision. Furthermore they encourage their designers to create each piece with their own artistic signature, emphasising that every such piece is worthy of the precious material it was made from, thus conveying their philosophy and love of wood.
In 2009 Artisan founded the company ARTECO Wood Technology Center, designed to make the company the driving force of a new movement in Bosnia-Herzegovina’s wood industry. Establishing a unique technological centre for the wood-processing industry, Arteco aims to provide infrastructure and expertise in design, prototype production, work on state-of-the-art CAD machinery, woodwork machinery, finishing, preparation, raw material drying and help in the export of final wood-processing products.
Hands are the most important piece of equipment used in the Artisan workshops, and the control point in their woodworking process. From a tree to a chair, their wood travels from the hands of one artisan to another. From the initial wood selection to its preparation for production, rough processing and assembling, finishing and protection… at every moment their sharp eye and infallible touch guarantee an individual approach that results in a top-quality product.
